Life In Spite of Me by Kristen Anderson

I finished reading this many months ago, but wanted to write about it anyway.

Kristen Anderson had a happy childhood, but as she entered her teenage years, her heart became burdened by the difficulties of life. She fell into depression and decided one night to end it all, laying down across the tracks in front of an oncoming train. Her miraculous survival, her physical and emotional recovery, and her discovery of faith in God are all chronicled in her book. It's a very personal account, one that she has made because she feels called to minister to others and to let them know that when they feel alone, they are not alone.
