I loved this book! It juxtaposes the author's childhood on a farm with his present experiences on his own farm with his wife and daughters. He describes some of the challenges of managing his time as a dad, writer, and farmer, sharing stories that made me laugh out loud and others that had me sobbing. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that there was a 4 page section on driving the tractor that I mostly skipped. I highly recommend this book.

Extreme parenting, but an entertaining read in an unbelievable sort of way. May expand on this later, but too tired right now. (I read this in a bean bag in Elizabeth's room to help her settle down without a pacifier - she cried for an hour and half, then complained for another hour, then finally went to sleep around 11:15 pm.)
